名曲"Opera"や"STUDIO"にも収録されている"Mind Rewind"で有名なCassが昔の相棒SlideではなくTom Manganとプロデュースした曲。Cassと言えば未だに"Opera"の荘厳な雰囲気が印象深い僕にとっては結構意外だったものの、こういう多幸感溢れるハウスって大好き！！！ |

何を隠そうサトシトミイエのデビュー曲にして名曲中の名曲ですよ。リリースは89年で実に17年前、それが今回文字通り「ほんのちょっと」303な味付けでリメイクされて収録。全部取り直したこのセルフカバー作品、めちゃめちゃ今風でカッコいいのは、言うまでもなくオリジナルの完成度が高いからでしょう。なんつーか、ファンとしては感動ですな。 |

過去のMIX CDと比べるわけでもないですが、間違いなくサトシトミイエ史上最高のMIX CDと言っても過言ではない"3D"、すべてのダンスミュージックファンに捧げる珠玉の名盤です！！絶対聴いてみてください！！！

Here’s a project that any DJ worth their salt would love to do… create three mixes; one for the club, one from the studio and one from the home collection. First up in this interesting project is Satoshi Tomiie, the most famous Japanese DJ this side of the Far East. Kicking off with the club disc, Tomiie embarks on one highly funky tip with excellent cuts from Spirit Catcher and Only Freak before rolling out the epics from the likes of Martin Eyerer. It’s excellent prog fodder and that’s all you need to know – we’ve got two more CDs to squeeze in here. The studio mix is a blend of Tomiie’s own productions and remixes, and it’s one of the most measured, atmospheric mixes he’s ever done. Finally we get to the best bit; the home mix is one fantastic mix of everything mellow and funky from Sneaker Pimps to Miles Davis to Roy Ayres. Well worth investigating.

Satoshi Tomiie has a career in house music for over 15 years since he brought us the classic “Tears” with Frankie Knuckles mixing things up for U2, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson and many more along the way. This 3CD collection brings together a selection of hypnotic house and progressive beats with influences ranging from the electro & tribal to the classic house. The mood is deep and the grooves raw edge are built to rock the dance floors. My favorite CD titled “Studio” includes seven exclusive Satoshi remixes & edits including reworks of Hybrid, Photek, an amazing mix of Kosheen’s ‘Hungry’ and a collaboration with one of my favorite singers Keli Ali (ex
Sneaker Pimps). The other two CD’s feature a club mix and a great eclectic selection of tracks from Sneaker Pimps to James Brown.
Club Systems International
Triple-CD compilations are so friggin' self-congratulatory they usually make us puke. But Satoshi's participated in so many classic records, in so many different genres, that he's earned the right to ramble. Disc One (clubby) and Disc Three (homey) are fine. But Disc Two, which contains new remixes of his greatest hits, like "Tears" and "Love In Traffic," is positively transcendent, right down to the mixing. |
